This week the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) confirmed that a cyberattack took down two of its systems in February. CISA dedicates its work to protect United States businesses, organizations, and government entities from cyberattacks. Vulnerabilities in CISA’s Ivanti IT management software were used in the attack. One compromised system “houses critical information about the interdependency of US infrastructure” and the other “houses private sector chemical security plans.” The identity of the hackers is not known.
